The award was received for the Isabella Kosan, the first of a

J. Lauritzen A/S reports record results for 2007
2007 was a very good year for J. Lauritzen (JL) with the best ever results
reported for the Group.
The net result was USD 342 million up from USD 124 million in 2006 and
included profits from sale of vessels and other assets of USD 79 million up
from 44 million in 2006. The result was better than expected and very
satisfactory.

J. Lauritzen reports very satisfactory 2006 results
2006 was yet another successful year for J. Lauritzen (JL). The strategic
re-engineering of JL’s business portfolio was completed with the sale of the
remaining part of the reefer fleet and gas carriers in the segment below
3,000 m3. As a consequence, JL continued the expansion within larger gas
carriers and MR product tankers by ordering of newbuildings and purchase of
second-hand tonnage.

2005 proved to be the most profitable year in the history of the company.
JL's result was USD 209 milliom compared to USD 199 million in 2004.
Included in the result was a profit of USD 53 million from sale of vessels
(USD 22 million in 2004). Pre-taxprofits amounted to USD 232 million against
USD 239 million in 2004.

Very satisfactory result
Result before tax for the first half year of 2005 was USD 166.1 million (DKK 923.2 million) up from USD 120.1 million (DKK 701.7 million) in the first half year of 2004. Profit from the sale of vessels contributed USD 35 million to the 38% improvement in the result.

The net result for the first half of 2003 was USD 19.7 million (against a loss of USD 2.2 million during the same period 2002. EBITDA (result before depreciation) was USD 32.6 million, an improvement of USD 11.7 million from last year.
